Michael Nedzia, 77, of Junction City, passed away on February 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. A family led memorial service is pending.
Michael was born on December 24, 1945, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He graduated high school in 1963, after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private.
He married his loving wife, Chong in 1976, in Seoul, South Korea. After marriage, they came back to Junction City where they made their home.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping here in Kansas. His favorite type of fish were crappie and blue-gill. Once caught, he would fry them up and eat them with friends and family. Michael's son, Daniel, was his favorite fishing partner. They would catch sixty pound catfish together at Milford State Lake, always competing to catch the bigger fish.
He is survived by his wife, his son, Daniel Gabbard, and daughter-in-law, Mary Gabbard of Junction City, Kansas.
