Michael G. Morgan, 67, Junction City, KS, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City, KS.
Mike was born on July 1, 1945, Junction City, KS to Hubert Andrew and Evelyn Bertha (Erichsen) Morgan. He graduated from Dwight High School in 1963 and later attended trade school to become a brick mason. He farmed for many years and later became a sought after brick and stone mason. He worked as a foreman for Law Construction Company out of Wichita, KS prior to starting his own business, MVB Masonry. Mike was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Worker's Union, Local #15.
He is survived by three sons; Jeffrey A. Morgan of Council Bluffs, IA, Darin W. Morgan (Jennifer) of McCook, NE and Trey Michael Morgan (Jessica) of Junction City, KS, nine grandchildren; Sonya, Jacob, Chase, Tyler, Selby, Brantleigh, Brolyn, Bryly and Treyden and one great-granddaughter, Mikiah.
He was preceded in death by his father Hubert, November 10, 1962 and his mother Evelyn June 10, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 212 N. Eisenhower. Burial will follow the service at Dwight Cemetery. A visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Memorial contributions may be given to the Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund, 212 N. Eisenhower, Junction City, KS 66441.
