Michael Breen

Funeral services for Michael J. Breen, 94,, Junction City, KS will be 2:00pm Friday, April 20, 2007 at First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Mr. Breen passed away April 16, 2007 at Good Samaritan Center. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 1429 St. Mary's Rd. Junction City, KS 66441 or Good Samaritan Center, 416 West Spruce, Junction City, KS 66441.



Michael was born September 14, 1912 in Alida, KS the son Michael J. and Margaret (Welch) Breen, Sr. He lived in the Alida , Milford and Junction City, farming until 1952, and then worked for Civil Service in the Roads and Grounds Department retiring in 1979. Michael was member of First Christian Church.



He married Emma Zeferjahn July 16, 1937 in Manhattan, KS; she preceded him in death December 1, 2004.



Survivors include a daughter Darlene M. Daymude, Junction City, KS; son Kenneth C. Breen, Topeka, KS; grandchildren Lovella Bartlett, John Breen, Kenneth M. Breen, and Terry Evans; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Bartlett, Zack Reeder, Dalton Breen, Heather Mahaffey, Brent Mahaffey, and Jennifer Daymude.



Also preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters,a granddaughter, Devney Breen, and a grandson Steve Daymude.



Pallbearers will be Wayde Evans, Brian Gripka, John Breen, Kenneth M. Breen, Brent Mahaffey, and Thomas Bartlett.
