Michael D. Anderson, 70, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Wakefield Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wakefield, KS. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival.

Michael was born July 15, 1952, in Winfield, KS. the son of George Robert and DeVona Marie (Colwell) Anderson.

Michael graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford, KS. He worked most of his life with elderly working as an activities director in many care facilities throughout Kansas. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge #1037 in Junction City. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, woodworking and listening to bluegrass music. He spent most months of September attending the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival near Winfield, KS.

He is survived by one son, Ethan Kane Anderson (Mary) of San Tan Valley, AZ; two daughters, Molly Kate Whitaker (Anthony) of Junction City, KS and Kady Leigh Lawson (Brandon) of Navarre, FL; six grandchildren, Sterling Deen Snider-Whitaker, Logan Blake Whitaker, Natalie Rose Whitaker, Abigail Kate Whitaker, Stella Marie Lawson and Theodore Aurelius Lawson; one brother, Dennis Robert Anderson; three sisters, Karen Sue Stacey, Sandra Kay Carter and Nyla Gay Sawyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
