Merle D. Dietrich

Graveside services for Merle D. Dietrich, 74, of Junction City will be Monday, May 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Martin Schlossman officiating. No visitation is planned. Mr. Dietrich passed away on Thursday, April 29th at his home after a brief illness. Memorial contributions may be given to Homecare and Hospice c/o Geary Community Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Merle was born on January 29, 1936 to Hartwig "Hobby" & Dorathea "Dora" (Baresel) Dietrich in Junction City, Kansas. He was married to Doris (McDonald) Dietrich on November 8, 1959.

Merle lived his entire life in Junction City and attended Junction City High School. He was employed by the Junction City Transportation Company for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife Doris; Son, Steven of Simi Valley, CA, grandsons, Griffen & Spencer of Newbury Park, CA; Son, Kenneth and his wife Theresa and grandson Tyler Kelso of Phoenix, AZ; Sister, Karen Dushane of Junction City, Nephews, Jerry and Ron; Niece, Patty & her son David.
