Funeral services for Meredith D. "Buck" Lytle, 89, a long-time resident of Junction City, will be held at 7:00PM, Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City, Kansas with Rev. Matthew Glasgow officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:30PM – 7:00PM at the church before the service. Inurnment will be held at 10:30AM, Monday, August 6, 2007, at the Danbury Cemetery in rural McCook, Nebraska with Rev. David Rowe officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105. Mr. Lytle died Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Born January 11, 1918 in Red Willow County, Nebraska, he was the son of Roy and Mildred (Dimmitt) Lytle. Mr. Lytle was a WWII veteran and later worked in Civil Service at Fort Riley. He married Jeanne Meese on January 11, 1948. She survives of the home in Lawrence where they had lived since January, 2004.
Mr. Lytle was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Tom Lytle.
