Melvin W. "Butch" Miller, 65, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away October 6, 2013 at his residence. Cremation will take place with the assistance of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. No visitation is planned. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Memorial contributions have been designated to the Milford State Park, 3612 State Park Rd., Milford, KS 66514.

He was born on July 23, 1948, Caney, KS to John and Ellen (Goddard) Miller. Butch spent nine years in the U. S. Air Force with two tours in Vietnam. After his military service he spent 10 years in Saudi Arabia teaching underwater photography to the Saudi Arabian government. Butch moved to St. Louis and worked for McDonald Douglas he then moved to Kansas City to care for his mother and after she passed away he moved to Junction City. He loved to Camp at Milford State Park and was a Camp Host.

Butch enjoyed spending time with his family and especially Logan.

Butch is survived by his Aunt Shirley Coffey (John) of Junction City, KS, his Cousin, Lisa Paciorek also of Junction City, KS, Many Cousins, Joni Rikard of Hope, KS, Rhonda Meuli of Ozark, AL, Warren (Janay) Ledbetter of Owasso, OK, Stanley (Jenelle) Tennant of Claremore, OK, Lori (Gary) Colbern of Wellsville, KS and his Uncle Russell Jesseph of El Dorado, KS. He is also survived by Carolyn Paciorek (Anthony Colucci) and their son Logan, Bethany Paciorek, Tony Rikard (Tabby Steele), Ray Debita (Becky), Dominic (Kilee) Debita, Marissa (Bryan) Nye, Andrea Hoy.

He is preceded in death by his parents,his Aunts, Katherine Tennant,Ramona Ledbetter and Delores Jesseph, his Uncle Richard Goddard and his Cousins, Cyndy Debita and David Jesseph.
