Melvin Dyer, 67, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Disability Supports in Hutchinson, KS. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Faith Tabernacle Church. A visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Melvin was born on February 15, 1955, in Shreveport, LA, to Charlie and Lilly Beatrice (Pinesett) Dyer.
Melvin later moved to Junction City, KS, in 1991. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Junction City, KS. Melvin was a fun, loving, and generous person who enjoyed playing basketball and going on walks. He also loved going to church with family, worshiping an praying to the best ability.
Melvin is survived by one brother, Bobby L. Dyer; three sisters, Betty D. Smith, Alberta Dyer all of Shreveport, LA and Shirley Hines of Junction City, KS; a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Charles Dyer, Jimmy Dyer, Louis Palmer, John E. Palmer, and Fred Dyer.
