Melanie Jayne Nett, 45, of Junction City passed away on August 23, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Junction City on June 27, 1964 to Wayne A. and Rosalie (Larson) Jaecke. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1982.
On July 27, 1985 she married Jeffrey Michael Nett. They later divorced.
Survivors include her mother, Rosalie M. Jaecke, her father and step-mother Wayne A. Jaecke and Rodella M. Jaecke, a sister, Trudy (Steve) Quelch, and a brother, Brad Jaecke, all of Junction City; two children, Jacob Ryan Nett of and Aaron Christopher Land; a step-sister, Misty Volner and step-brother, Trevor Eder; two nieces and four nephews and a great nephew and great niece. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur E. and Ethel (Head) Larson and Leslie E. and Bethel (Stebbins) Jaecke.
Pallbearers will be Dee Hiesterman, Scott Templeton, Jeff Maddox, Dean Mizes, Rick Howard and Ray Madison.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington St.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday August 28, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. The Reverend Joe Belardo will officiate. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10580 Barkley Ste. 400, Overland Park, KS 66212.
