Maxine Ruth (Kramer) Small, 83, of Junction City passed away due to pancreatic cancer at her home with her family by her side on July 19, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Alan Estby officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been designated to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 S. Eisenhower Dr., Junction City, KS 66441 and/or Hospice at Geary Community Hospital, c/o Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS 66441.
Maxine was born October 12, 1929 on the family farm on Clark's Creek Road, Geary County, KS to Joseph and Amanda (Strauss) Kramer. She married Ralph Small September 6, 1948 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, she lived her entire life in Junction City, KS and she was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Small of the home, daughter; Ethel Jacobson (Jerry) of Abilene, KS, son; Dale Small (Eileen) of Junction City, KS, twin brother; Marvin Kramer (Dorothy) of Oklahoma City, OK, six grandchildren; Stephanie Edmonson (George) of McPherson, KS, Heather Razak (Ross) of Lawrence, KS, Kelly Kramer of Junction City, KS, Jason Jacobson of Avondale, PA, Christopher Small (Allison) of Seattle, WA and Lori Harold (Jason) of Ortig, WA and eight great-grandchildren; Maisie Edmonson, Rhett Edmonson, Karley Kramer, Zachary Razak, Ava Razak, Carter Harold, Ty Harold and Blakely Small.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister Ethel Marie, brothers; Herbert, Edward, Melvin and Elmer Kramer and her son; Donald "Don" Small.
