Mattie "Ann" Calloway
Mattie "Ann" Calloway, 78, of Junction City, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Ann was born December 3, 1937 in Hobbs Island, Alabama, the daughter of Leo & Annie Stehemson McCutcheon. She was educated in Alabama, and moved to Junction City in 1965. She was former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 830.
Ann was an individual who left a special impression on everyone, as she was extremely caring and giving, and was a special friend to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Ann married John E. Calloway in 1967 in Junction City. John died in 1989.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Marc Mingeldorff and Brian Coleman, Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Karen Augustein, Council Grove; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Wood, John Paul Sibbett, and Sean Baker; and a great grandson, Alexander Wood. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, 2 sons, David Calloway and Butch Dunn; and a daughter, Mary Webster.
Cremation has taken place, and the family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
