Services for Matt J. Dibben, 37, Overland Park, KS(Formerly of Chapman)
Tuesday,October 8, 2002, at 10:00 a.m at the First United Methodist Church,
Rev. Dr. Bert Buurman will officiate. Matt died October 3, 2002 at his residence. Visitation will be Monday, October 7, 2002, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Lyona Cemetery, Rural Dickinson County, Kansas. Memorial may be designated to KS Specialty Dog, 124 W. 2nd Avenue, Washington, KS 66968 and/or to the Family and/or The Pet Trust Fund, Office of Development and Alumni Affairs, KSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Trotter Hall, 1700 Denison Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502. Matt was born April 1, 1965, at Junction City, Kansas to Donald Ray and Joleen Deanna (Staatz) Dibben. Matt graduated from Junction City High School in 1983. He then attended
three years at Kansas State University. Matt married Cheryl Bobzien June 4, 1988 at Junction City, KS; she survives of the home. He was a foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad. Matt was also in the National Guard for six years.
Matt was an avid golfer & sports fanatic. Survivors: Parents: Donald R. and Joleen Dibben of Junction City, KS; Two Brothers: Monte J. Dibben of Junction City, KS, and Mark J. Dibben of Colorado Springs, CO; One Grandparent: Bernice Dibben of Junction City, KS; Mother and Father-In-Law: Don and Diane Bobzien of Wakefield, KS; Two Nieces, Three Nephews, Two Step-Nieces, and One
Nephew. Preceded In Death By: Grandparents: Wesley and Alma Staatz, and Norman Dibben. Casket bearers: Doug Dibben, Gene Larson, Terry Ascher, Lynn Jones, David Butler, Don Rickley, and NeVoy Hettenbach, Organist: Ramona Smith
