Matilde M. De Rosario, 80, de Junction City, KS, falleció el 5 de agosto del 2019.

El velorio se realizará el viernes 9 de agosto a partir de las 6:00 p.m. a las 8:00 p.m. en la funeraria Johnson de Junction City, 203 N. Washington St.

Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo el sábado 10 de agosto a las 11:00 am en la Primera Iglesia Latina Eben-ezer de Junction City, 1015 N. Washington St.

El entierro será después de los servicios en el Cementerio Highland de Junction City.

Matilde nació el 5 de julio del 1939 en Loreto, Zacatecas, México, hija de Pedro Mendoza y Manuela Rodulfo. Cuando era joven, le encantaba ir a la escuela, pero decidió trabajar duro desde muy temprana edad para ayudar a su familia a tener una vida mejor en México. De joven, emigró de México a los Estados Unidos. Ahí conoció y se casó con un joven pastor, Daniel Rosario el 18 de febrero del 1984. Vivieron en Kansas City, KS durante muchos años y en última instancia la familia llamó a Junction City, Kansas, su hogar.

Matilde era una mujer de familia y una mujer de Dios. Le gustaba estudiar la Biblia y su pasión era poder hablar con otras personas sobre el amor de Dios. En su tiempo libre le encantaba coser y hacer manualidades. En las Navidades le encantaba hacer tamales y buñuelos. Ella era la esposa del pastor de la Primera Iglesia Latina Eben-ezer y era parte del grupo Defensores de la fe cristiana de la Iglesia Latina Eben-ezer. Era una esposa amorosa, una madre cariñosa, una abuela adoradora de sus nietos, y una querida amiga.

Ella será extrañada.

A Matilde le sobreviven su amada familia: su esposo, Daniel; hijo, Donald y su esposa Elisa Mendoza de Junction City, KS; hija, Claudia y su esposo Carlos Rosario de Kansas City, KS; hijastra Miriam y su esposo Gabriel Núñez; ocho nietos, Elisa Mendoza, Débora Mendoza, Claudia Mendoza, Natalia Rosario-Mendoza, Marisol Rosario-Mendoza, Yarimar y su esposo Jason Walker, Jonathan Rosario, Vanessa Núñez; ocho bisnietos, Maddylina New, Josiah Rivera, Selena Walker, Tatianna Walker, Trey Walker, Alexander Rosario, Julián Rosario, Micah Rosario; dos hermanos, Juan Mendoza y Alberto Mendoza; dos hermanas, María Mendoza y Josefina Mendoza; y un sin número de familiares y amigos.

Le antecedieron en la muerte sus padres, Pedro y Manuela Mendoza y su hermana Catalina Mendoza.

Matilde M. De Rosario, 80, of Junction City, KS, passed away on August 5, 2019.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 9, from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. at the Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City, 203 N. Washington St.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 11:00 am at the Primera Iglesia Latina Ebenezer of Junction City, 1015 N. Washington St.

Burial will follow the services at Highland Cemetery of Junction City.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, and the March of Dimes, P.O. Box 18819, Atlanta, GA 31126.

Matilde was born on July 5, 1939, in Loreto, Zacatecas, Mexico to Pedro Mendoza and Manuela Rodulfo. As a young girl, she loved going to school, but chose to work hard from a very early age to help her family have a better life in Mexico. She migrated from Mexico to the United States young lady. She met and married a young pastor, Daniel Rosario, on February 18, 1984. They lived in Kansas City, Kansas, for many years and ultimately the family called Junction City, Kansas, their home.

Matilde was a family woman and a woman of God. She enjoyed studying the bible. Her passion was being able speak to other people about God's love. In her free time she loved to sew and make crafts. During Christmas she loved to make tamales and buñuelos. She was the Pastor's wife of the Primera Iglesia Latina Eben-ezer and a member of the Defenders of the Christian Faith of the Iglesia Latina Eben-ezer. She was a loving wife, caring mother, adoring Grandmother, and beloved friend.

She will be missed.

Matilde is survived by her loving family: her husband, Daniel; son, Donald and wife Elisa Mendoza of Junction City, KS; daughter, Claudia and husband Carlos Rosario of Kansas City, KS; step-daughter Miriam and Gabriel Nuñez; eight grandchildren, Elisa Mendoza, Debora Mendoza, Claudia Mendoza, Natalia Rosario-Mendoza, Marisol Rosario-Mendoza, Yarimar and husband Jason Walker, Jonathan Rosario, Vanessa Nuñez; eight great-grandchildren, Maddylina New, Josiah Rivera, Selena Walker, Tatianna Walker, Trey Walker, Alexander Rosario, Julian Rosario, Micah Rosario; two brothers, Juan Mendoza and Alberto Mendoza; two sisters, Maria Mendoza and Josefina Mendoza; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Manuela Mendoza and her sister Catalina Mendoza.
