August 25, 1939 — February 14, 2012

Mary C. Pack, 72, Junction City, died on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City. A visitation will be held from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. A graveside funeral service and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made either to the Food Pantry of Geary County, 136 W 3rd St, Junction City, KS 66441 or to the Humane Society of the United States, Dept MEMIT9, 2100 L St. NW, Washington, DC 20037.

Mary was born on August 25, 1939 to Andrew P. and Clara L. (Longacre) Carper in Huntington, West Virginia.

She married John A. Pack, III on September 16, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia and was married for over 50 years. Mary worked on Fort Riley as a secretary for the Department of Internal Review and Audit for over 20 years before her retirement in 2000.

One of Mary greatest joys in life was her immense love of animals, especially dogs.

She is survived by her husband John A. Pack, III, Junction City, and a son, William Pack, Topeka, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Clara Carper, and a son, David Michael Pack.
