Mary L. Lamont

Funeral services for Mary L. LaMont, 80, of Junction City, KS will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue Pastor Ronnie Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Mrs. LaMont passed away at Geary Community Hospital on June 20, 2011. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Chapman Valley Manor, 1009 N. Marshall, Chapman, KS 67431 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6950 Squibb Rd., #310, Mission, KS 66202-3260.

Mrs. LaMont was born October 15, 1930, Junction City, KS to Warner P. and Sarah A. (Proctor)Mitchell. She graduated from Junction City High School class of 1950. She was a full time homemaker. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and loved traveling to see her grandchildren.

She married Donald L. LaMont, July 28, 1950, Junction City, KS he preceded her in death April 28, 1987.

She is survived by four children; Ricky L. LaMont (Pamela) of Oak Harbor, WA, Teresa L. Ryan (Mike) of Junction City, KS, David L. LaMont of Wichita, KS, Christina D. LaMont of Killeen, TX, one sister, Virginia L. Schorling of Junction City, KS, eight grandchildren, Jennifer Juhasz, Jaime LaMont, Jonathan LaMont, Shawn Ryan, Suzana LaMont, Justin Felts, KayCee Reese and Jason Watson, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lonnie L. LaMont, grandson, Patrick Ryan, three brothers; Lawrence M. Mitchell Francis M. Mitchell and Charles B. Mitchell, four sisters; Rhoda M. Vines, Flora E. Pratt, Vearlen M. Beer and Dorothy L. Dean.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Ryan, Matt Jackson, Jason Watson, Jeremy McCallum, Jonathan LaMont and Craig Paxton

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stewart, Cliff Engstrom, Harold Glessner and Dean Nogle
