Mary H. Koehler, 62, of Junction City, died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka. Mary was born April 21, 1957 in Emporia, the daughter of Pedro and Elvira (Cisneros) Lira.
Mary grew up in Osage City, and graduated from Osage City High School.
She worked in retail sales in several businesses at places where her husband was stationed while he served in the military.
Mary married James D. "Jim" Koehler on December 13, 1975 in Osage City. Jim survives of the home. Other survivors include: a son, James P. Koehler, Frankfort, Kentucky; 2 daughters, Samantha Koehler, Ludlow, Kentucky, and Casie Burns and her husband Michael, Ft. Riley; her father, Pedro Lira, Ft. Riley; 2 brothers, Mark Lira, Topeka, and Pete Lira, Scottsdale, Arizona; 3 sisters, Rita Ford and her husband Rick, Osage City, Chello Marshall, Overland Park, and Angela Swisher, Ft. Riley; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by mother, Elvira Lira.
Cremation is planned, and services will be scheduled at a later date.
