Mary Patricia Kirk, 70, of Wakefield, KS, passed away on February 22, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center. Johnson Funeral home of Junction City, KS is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

A Memorial Mass will be held on March 6, 2021, 10:00am at the St. Xavier Catholic Church, 218 North Washington St., Junction City, KS, 66441, with Fr. Gnanasekar Kulandai officiating.

Mary was born on March 28, 1950, in French Camp, California, to John and Ewilda (Brown) Foundation. She graduated from Stagg High School and later met John Francis Kirk. They married on January 9, 1971 in Reno, Nevada. With John's military obligation, they moved their small family to many places both domestic and abroad. John retired at Fort Riley, Kansas, and the family settled in Wakefield, Kansas.

Mary had many interests, but above all she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother.

She is survived by her loving family: two sons, Michael P. (Delaina) Kirk of Topeka, KS, and Ryan P. (Adrian) Kirk of Wakefield, KS; grandson, Christian P. Kirk of Manhattan, KS; her brother, Jonathan delPozo of Amarillo, TX and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandchild, Heather P. Kirk.
