Funeral services for Mary Jane Varner, 41, of Junction City, KS will be Saturday, January 7, 2006, 1 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Chaplain Chuck Peters will be officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2006, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Varner passed away January 3, 2006 at Stormont Vail Hospital, Topeka, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, P.O. Box 826, Junction City, KS 66441.
Mrs. Varner was born February 11, 1964, Chanute, KS to Willard and Linda (Young) Hasty. She was a resident of Junction City for 2 1/2 years, she had worked at Wal-Mart, Payless Shoes and AAFES. Mrs. Varner was the Ladies Auxiliary President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She married Mike Varner December 31, 2003, Junction City, KS, he survives of the home.
Other survivors include her mother and step-father, Linda and John Sullivan of Junction CIty, KS, her father and step-mother Willard and Kay Hasty of Topeka, KS, two sons, George Foxworth of Texas and Brian Foxworth of Junction City, KS, three daughters, Linda, Christine and Crystal Foxworth all of Junction City, KS, three brothers, Doug Sullivan and David Sullivan both of Newport News, VA, J.P. Sullivan, St. Joseph, MO; three sisters, Melinda Hicks and DeAnn Widener both of Junction City, KS and Tina Sears of Ft. Leonardwood, MO and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Femrite, Marty Fleig, James Widener, Bill Sears, David Quezda and Doug Varner.
