Mary Frances Hall, 79, of Junction City, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 8, 2017. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother, a.k.a. Nana.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 10 am to 11 am at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Ave., Junction City, KS 66441, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 am with Pastor Erik Graefe officiating.
She was born on March 11, 1938, in Groveton, Texas to Milo and Bertha (Luttell) Hutto. She married William "Bill" Hall whose military career made her a military spouse for over 25 years. All the moving that came with their military lifestyle suited her wanderlust. Even after settling down in Junction City in the late 70's she traveled regularly, often accompanied by friends or a grandchild or two.
Mary's large personality was held in stark contrast to all 4 foot 9 inches of her. Her grandkids made a habit out of waiting for the day that they finally inched above her in height. She was fun and easy to tease. She had a diligence about her no matter what she was doing. This showed in her spotless home, the advancements she made in her career, her involvement in many clubs and her time as a hospice volunteer. She was an active member of the Zion United Church of Christ.
Mary is survived by her three sons, William W. Hall, Thomas W. Hall, and Wesley T. Hall; two daughters, Pamela Hall and Mary L. Hall; and brother, Bill Hutto. Left behind to cherish her memory are eleven granddaughters, three grandsons, twelve great granddaughters and eighteen great grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, William "Bill" Hall; father, Milo Hutto; mother, Bertha Hutto; brother, Angus Hutto; brother, Curtis Hutto; grandson, Joshua Marshall; and great granddaughter, Ava Boeckman.
In lieu of flowers, donations, in Mary's memory, can be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, https://www.rmhckc.org/donate/.
