A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel for Mary Ann Heise, 78, Wakefield, Kansas. Father Al Brungardt will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. this evening at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Fort Riley Cemetery. Mrs. Heise passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, Kansas.
Mary Ann was born August 9, 1928, in Ashton, Nebraska.
On September 10, 1946, she married Cecil Jay Heise in Ida Grove, Iowa. He passed away August 22, 1983.
Mary worked at Fort Riley for many years. She attended St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City and St. Mary's Chapel at Fort Riley, Kansas.
She is survived by two sons, Greg and Jack and one daughter Tammy. She is also survived by several grandchildren.
