A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Colbert, 93, of Junction City, KS will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Al Brungardt officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-8 p.m. with rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ogden, KS. Ms. Colbert passed away at Geary Community Hospital on August 19, 2007. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Xavier Catholic Church, P.O. Box 399, Junction City, KS 66441.
Ms. Colbert was born May 2, 1914, Ogden, KS to Patrick and Minnie (Ryan) Kelly. She was a graduate of Lucky High School, Manhattan, KS. She married Glen Joseph Colbert October 26, 1933, he preceded her in death January 1, 1988. Ms. Colbert was head of the Post Exchange at Camp Forsyth during WWII, she later worked in the Personnel Office at the Post Exchange until her retirement. She had resided in Junction City for over 54 years and was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church, the Grandmother's Club and several Bridge Club organizations.
She is survived by two daughters; Patricia and husband Fred T. Dolan of Junction City and Kathie Johnson also of Junction City, one granddaughter Shawn Dolan and one great-grandson; Brant Crank.
She was preceded in death by son-in-law; Russell M. Johnson, three brothers; Willard Kelly, Hugh Kelly and Charles Kelly and one sister, Kathryn.
Musicians will be Anita Hernandez, Organist and Rick Munson, Vocalist
Pallbearers will be Buzz Bruzina, Vern Hecker, Scott Johnson, Todd Johnson, Bruce Johnson and John Summers
Honorary Pallbearers will be John Majerus, BIll Spittles and Scott Price.
