Funeral services for Mary A. Lobaugh, 74, of Junction City will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Mrs. Lobaugh passed away on February 24, 2008 at Mercy Regional Health Center. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Mrs. Lobaugh was born March 25, 1933 at Crowley, CO to Genero B. and Estfana (Hernandez) Villarreal. She was an Interior Designer and formerly owned and operated Mary Lew Interiors in Junction City. She had been a resident of Junction City since 1967 and was the past president of the Elks' Lodge Post #1037 Ladies Auxiliary, a former Boy Scout Den Mother, a Teacher's Aide at Fort Riley and assisted in the Carpentry Class at Junction City High School from 1976-1980.
She married Lew Wallace Lobaugh on February 14, 1958 at Colorado Springs, CO he preceded her in death on May 16, 1997.
She is survived by one son; Randall Lobaugh and wife Johanna of Miramar, FL, one daughter; Lisa Lacer of Manhattan, KS, one brother; Lupe Villarreal of Greeley, CO, one sister; Alyce Algiene of Denver, CO and four grandsons; Jason R. Lacer, Joshua B. Lacer, David L. Lobaugh and Joseph Garafolo.
Pallbearers will be David Lobaugh, Joshua Lacer, Jason Lacer, Ben Bennett, D.E. Lacer and Cliff Engstrom
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Roether and Luke Lumb
