Marva Brown, 54, of Manhattan, KS, was called home on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS due to illness. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City, KS. Pastor Joe Marshall will officiate. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Highland Cemetery.
Marva was born January 27, 1961, in Memphis, TN, the daughter of James and Mildred (Banks) Smith. Marva is survived by her husband David Brown of Manhattan, KS; her son Ronald Banks of Manhattan, KS; daughter Latriser Banks of Junction CIty, KS; brother Walter Taylor and sister Carolyn Banks both of Manhattan, KS; Eight grand-children: Terina Johnson and Nikol Banks both of Manhattan, KS; Kevon, Demonta, Tairon, and Jy'mir Banks of Junction City, KS; Atalayia Moore of Houston, TX; Destiny Tate of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Marva is now reunited with her mother Mildred Banks and father James Smith both of Memphis, TN.
