Martha A. "Marty" Herby Kimble, 68, of Junction City died Feb. 28, 2013 at Geary Community Hospital. Marty was born Nov. 1, 1944 at Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, the daughter of Clinton F. & Anna Mae Francisco Herby. She was a retired drug and alcohol counselor.
Marty received her undergraduate degree from Brown University, her masters degree from the University of Michigan, and her Ph.D. from Nova University.
Her hobbies were bowling and going on vacations with her husband. She was member of the Red Hatters.
She married Bobby L. Kimble on Feb. 8, 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. He survives. She is also survived by her brother John Herby, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2013 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Manhattan. The family will greet friends on Monday evening, 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Junction City.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Friends of Animals or the National Kidney Foundation, sent in care of Penwell-Gable Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington, Junction City, Ks. 66441.
