Mark L. Allen

Mark L. Allen, 55, Wakefield, KS passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Manhattan, KS. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2013, at the St. Xavier Catholic Church with Father Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6-8 pm. Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel with a vigil service/rosary conducted at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.

Mark was born December 28, 1957, in LaCrosse, KS the son of Lester M. and Millie (Kreutzer) Allen. He has lived in the Junction City area since 1977. He has resided in Wakefield, KS since 2005.

Mark was the Body Shop Manager at Dick Edwards Ford in Manhattan, KS. He was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City. Mark enjoyed boating and working on cars. He had a hobby of antique fuel pump restoration. He enjoyed KSU Sports, Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and Nascar. He enjoyed his Saint Bernard Dogs and other pets over the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He married Judith (Judy) Keating February 13, 1982, in Junction City, KS. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Bill Allen and his wife Elyse of Ness City, KS, two daughters, Taylor Allen of Topeka, KS and Heather Patterson and husband Thomas of Orlando, Fl. He is survived by three grandchildren, Jaidon Allen, Logan Allen and Jaxson Patterson. He is survived by his mother Millie Allen of Lacrosse, KS and one brother Bruce and his wife Leslie of Scottsdale, AZ. He is also survived by his puppies, Oreo, Charlie, Grand Puppy Izzy and his cat Molly.
