Services for Marion R. "Manny" Champ, 86, of Junction City, KS will be Friday, February 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.at Johnson Funeral Chapel with full military honors. Robert Champ will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2002, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Manny died February 19, 2002 at Geary Community Hospital. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Manny was born September 22, 1915 at Geary County, Kansas to Clem and Clara(Cutter)Champ. He married Beulah J. Fulkerson, January 1, 1936 at Junction City, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War, he retired in 1971 after 30 years of service as a MSGT, he then worked as a City Building Inspector, he was a lifelong resident of Junction City, KS, a member of the First Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion, Scottish Rite and Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Beulah of Junction City, KS, One Son; James Champ of Enterprise, KS, Three Grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Brother; Bud Champ and Three Great-Great Grandchildren. Casketbearers will be the Fort Riley Honor Guard and Organist will be Florence Whitebread.
