Funeral services for Marilyn Ella Beikmann Killman, 75, of Junction City will be Friday, April 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City with Pastor Martin Schlossman officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 3-8 pm with family receiving friends from 6-8pm at the Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Ave. Marilyn passed away on Wednesday, April 21 at Geary Community Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 630 N. Eisenhower, Junction City, KS 66441.
Marilyn was born September 28, 1934 in Clifton, KS to Henry & Emma (Dittmar) Beikmann. She was baptized October 8, 1934 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Linn, KS. She was later confirmed on March 21, 1948. Marilyn married Victor Killman on February 20, 1955 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Linn, KS.
Marilyn and Victor made Junction City their home in 1957 and had two children Kurtis and Vicki. She was a lifetime member at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Marilyn worked for Duckwall from 1957-1963, until she became a daycare provider in her home for 36 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Two brother, Elmer & Willard Beikmann and Two sisters Flora Koch and Helen Wray.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of the home, a son Kurtis and wife Sherry of Hiawatha, KS; daughter Vicki and husband Ralph Schuman of Wathena, KS. Six grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Brendan, Eric, Brady & Remington. A brother Lester and his wife Minnie Beikmann.
