Graveside services for Marie W. Miller,93, of Junction City, KS will be held at Friday, May 30, 2003, 2:00 p.m. Pastor Darel Boston will officiate. Marie died May 25, 2003 at Geary Community Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2003, 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, KS. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Center, 416 W. Spruce, Junction City, KS 66441. She was born February 25, 1910, Dwight, KS to Alfred and Amelia (Lebeck) Wafler. She graduated from Blue School near Dwight. She married Ray G. Miller at Beatrice, NE, Jan. 30, 1961, he preceded her in death April 21, 1971. Following graduation she stayed home and worked the family farm for the next 16 years, she moved to Junction City and worked for Economy Cleaners and later at the Post Exchange at Fort Riley for many years, during World War II she enjoyed being a volunteer at the Junction City USO, she retired May 1, 1971. She was a
resident of Junction City, KS for 63 years and had resided at the Good Samaritan Center in recent years. Survivors: One Sister; Freida Hawthorne of Manhattan, KS, Two Sisters-In-Law; Elizabeth Wafler of Junction City, KS and Mary Wafler of Thornton, CO, additionally, she is survived by two nephews and six nieces. Preceded In Death By: Parents, Five brothers; Alfred, Roy, Fred John and William Wafler,Four Sisters; Lena Day, Bertha Wafler, Minnie Olson and Josephine Arney and three Nephews.
