Services for Marian Josephine Ozman,88,of Junction City, KS will be held at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. Major Dale Horn will officiate. Marian died July 18, 2002 at Geary Community Hospital, Junction City, KS, visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2002, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel, burial: Highland Cemetery, Junction City, KS Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111-2503. Marian was born February 13, 1914, at Junction City, KS to Charles and Lydia (Meyers) Peterson. Marian graduated from Junction City High School in 1933. She also graduated from Salvation Army School for Officers Training in 1936. Marian married Leo Morris in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1945, she married George Roberts in 1946, they divorced in 1947, she later married Alfred D. Ozman in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1990. Employment & Biography: Marian was a Salvation Army Officer from 1936 to 1938. She
worked in the laundry department at Ft. Riley during WWII. She was also the head of the USO in Junction City until 1953. She was the Supervisor of the Property Control Supply Division at Fort Riley, retired from the civil service in 1973. Marian was a Good Sams member. Survivors: Three Daughters: Dorothy Spencer of Houston, MO, Betty Jo Youngfleisch, of Junction City, KS, and Margaret Barber of Wichita, KS; Three Sisters: Marguerite Wilson(twin sister) of Brea, CA, Pearl DeLong of Baldwin City, CA, and Lucille Dixon of Dixon,
MO; Nine Grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Both husbands; One Sister: Ellen King; Six Brothers: Charles,Williard, Robert, Walter, Edward, and Ralph Peterson; and One Grandchild: Jerry Barber.
