Marian Fegan Grammer, 94, Junction City, Kan., passed away Friday, August 15, 2008, at Geary Community Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel has assisted the family with cremation arrangements.
Marian was born on June 3, 1914, in Junction City, Kan. the daughter of Robert Benjamin and Marian A. (Lewis) Fegan.
She graduated from Junction City High School in 1932. She attended the University of Kansas where she graduated in 1937. She married Dr. George Grammer of Junction City in 1938. Marian was active in various civic affairs, Episcopal Church of the Covenant and was known as "The Picture Lady" in local grade schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband George and two brothers, Robert and Tom Fegan. She is survived by her son Bill Grammer and his wife Carol of Arlington, TX and her daughter Sally Mayes and her husband Bill of Junction City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Episcopal Church of the Covenant, 314 N. Adams Street and the YMCA, 1703 McFarland Road, both in Junction City, Kansas 66441.
