Marian Abbott

Memorial services for Marian "Mary" Rose Abbott,71,Junction City formerly Marian Brown will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street with Reverend Dr. Aurelio Belardo officiating. Mrs. Abbott passed away February 21, 2010 at her home. No visitation is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10580 Barkley, Suite 400 Overland Park, KS 66212.

Marian was born August 4, 1938 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Harry and Helen Elizabeth (Bartosik) Schartzer.

She worked at Mobile Travelers, Valley View, Econolodge, and Homestead Motel retiring in 2001.

Marion is survived by her friend Darrell Parrick, one son Mark and wife Lisha Brown of Bonner Springs, KS; two daughters Laura Bryant of Topeka, KS, Michelle and husband Richard Dorminey of Junction City, KS; three grandsons, Isaac Murphy(Heather Miller), Darian Bratton and Ryan Dorminey; one granddaughter, Kiara Bratton, one great-grandson, Kaden Murphy and one great-granddaughter Kaelyn Miller.
