Funeral Services for Maria C. Rice, 25, Killeen, TX will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Living Word of Christ Church, 1704 St. Mary's Rd. with Bishop Dr. Clarence R. Williams, Jr. officiating. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue. Maria passed away January 15, 2006 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Memorial contributions may be made in Maria's name for her children and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel 805 Caroline Avenue, Junction City, KS, 66441.

Miss Rice was born August 10, 1980, Livorno, Italy to Charles Rice and Gwendolyn (Houston) Rice Wise. She was a 1998 graduate of Ellison High School, Killeen, TX.

She is survived by her Fiance, Sherman Pasley, Sr., one daughter, Diaja Marie Rice, one son, Sherman Pasley, Jr. all of Killeen, TX, her mother and step-father, Gwendolyn and Barry Wise, Sr. of Junction City, KS, her father and step-mother, Charles and Veronica Rice of Anderson, SC, grandparents Charley and Minnie Rice of Anderson, SC, and Frank and Rozena Houston of TN, great-grandmother, Hattie Neal of Atlanta, GA, one sister, Rozena Rice, six brothers, Barry Wise, Jr., Bryan Wise, Devonte Wise, Darrion Wise, Treshawn Wise all of Junction City and Garry Wise of Salina, KS, one step-sister, Crystal Noble of Anderson, SC, aunts, Beverly McAdams, Faye Kelley, Sheila Houston, Victoria Houston, Antonise Houston, uncles, Charles McDowell and Timothy Houston and a host of nieces and nephews and family from South Carolina, Michigan, Texas and Kansas.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Riddick, Matthew Riddick, Joseph Riddick, Anthony Riddick, Johnny Gatlin and Thomas Howard.
