Margitte P. Parks, 80, of Junction City, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Geary Community Hospital. Margitte was born in March 12, 1939, Altenstadt, Germany, the daughter of Willi and Annie (Zilk) Reuter.
Margitte attended schools in Germany.
After moving to Junction City, she worked for a time AAFES on Ft. Riley and later worked as a cook at restaurant in Woodbine.
She married Henry Parks, who was serving in the U.S. Army, on March 26, 1960 in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Sergeant Major (Retired) Henry Parks died March 7, 2015.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Henry Parks, Jr. and his wife Anglea, Thompson, Texas, and Hardy Parks, Junction City; 5 daughters, Anita Frazier, Pensacola, Florida, Beverly Parks, Palestine, Texas, Cynthia Parks, Topeka, Diane Palmer and her husband Bennie, Junction City, and Elaine Williams, Atlanta, Georgia; 21 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
It was Margitte's request that there be no services
A private burial will be at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Riley, Manhattan, Kansas.
