Margaretha Robinson, 87, of Junction City, died on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. A visitation will be held from 9-10 am on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 22, 2012 also at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Fr. Merlin Keiffer officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Riley Cemetery.
Margaretha was born on September 13, 1925 in Teplitz-Shonau, in the Czech Republic to Gustav and Anna (Kuess) Hoebelt. She attended local schools and graduated junior college in 1943 with a degree in pharmacy.
Margaretha was married to Cogle R. Robinson who preceded her in death on February 5, 1996.
She was a resident of the local community since 1958 and was actively involved in several civic organizations including Silver Haired Legislatures, Chairman of the Board for Senior Citizens Inc., past Director of the Flint Hills Agency for the Aging, President of the Womens Reading Club as well as being a volunteer for the AJAV-AC and the American Red Cross.
She is survived by one son, Jerry and wife Edeltraud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Anna Hoebelt; by a brother, Medardus Hoebelt; and by one sister, Luise Hoebelt.
