Margaret Sherbert

Margaret N. Sherbert, 82, of Manhattan, KS., passed away on April 1, 2002 at the Meadowlark Hills Retirement Home in Manhattan, KS. Graveside services will be on Thursday, April 4, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Junction City, KS. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel. She was born April 26, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri to Herman and Martha (Hatch) Bowman. She was married to Fred Sherbert, Jr. on August 5, 1939, he preceded her in death in 1975. She was a homemaker and also had worked on the family farm. She managed the Sherbert Mobile Court and the Sherbert Dairy. She was also involved with the Homemaker's Extension Unit. She was a former member of the Episcopal Church of the Covenant in Junction City. Survivors include a Son, Dennis Sherbert of Junction City; Brother, Herman "Babe" Bowman of Manhattan and a Sister, Anne Caldwell of Manhattan, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Jim and Charles Bowman.
