Services for Margaret (Sabo) Herzig, 88, of Topeka, KS formerly of
Junction City, KS, will be at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Monday, March 25, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Matthew Glasgow of the First Presbyterian Church. Margaret died March 20, 2002 Midland Hospice, Topeka, KS. Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2002, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (time of service) at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Junction City, Kansas Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604 Margaret was born June 30, 1913, Roda, Virginia
to Joseph and Velma (Gordon) Sabo. She married Merlin August Herzig, August 25, 1935 , Holly, New York,he preceded her in death September 12, 1973.
Employment & Biography: Margaret lived in Roda, Va until she was 10 years old, then moved to Loville, NY where she attended school. She owned Hash House Restaurant for 10 years in Beaver Falls, NY. She moved to Junction City, KS in 1971 before moving to Topeka in 1997. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Junction City, KS, member of VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auziliary #45 in Junction City, KS, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels and USD 475 in Junction City, KS as well. Survivors include One Granddaughter; Barbara Wright of Topeka, KS and Two Grandsons; Bill Keller of Junction City, KS and Richard Weaver of Topeka,KS. She was preceded in death By: One Son; Eugene and Two Daughters; Nancy and Joan. Casket bearers will be Jimmy Wright, Richard Weaver, Gary Smith and Bill Keller Organist: Florence Whitebread
