Marcia L. Williams, 65, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on April 26, 2024, in her home. A family led celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Marcia was born on March 1, 1959, to Gene and Clara (Judge) Conklin in Bath, Maine. Growing up in a military family, she spent most of her childhood traveling with her family all around the United States. Some of the places she would call home are Maine, California, New Jersey, Alaska, and Maryland. Once her father retired, she and her family moved back to Nebraska where she graduated from Gering High School in 1977.
Following high school, she attended college at the University of Northern Colorado then transferred to Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, finishing a bachelor degree.
After graduating, she worked as a social worker helping to place children in loving homes. After ten years of working, she decided to go back to school to pursue a masters. She graduated from the University of Washington with a masters in social work in the year 2007.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Richard Williams; one daughter, Nicole (Adam) Gore
of Junction City, Kansas; one sister, Debra Lautenslager; one brother, Philip Conklin and four grandchildren: Magnolia, Olivia, Dean, and Samuel.
She is preceded by her parents; two brothers, Steven and Michael, and a nephew, Nicholas.
