Memorial services for Marcia M. Field, 59, of Junction City will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Covenant at 10 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2008 with Father Dale Plummer officiating. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the inurnment at Guild Hall. A visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street, Sunday, October 19, 2008, 6-8 p.m. Marcia passed away at the University of Kansas Medical Center October 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Palliative Care, c/o University of Kansas Hospital, 2330 Shawnee Mission Pkwy., Ste. 302, Westwood, KS 66205 and/or St. Jude's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis,TN 38101.

Marcia was born October 28, 1948, Junction City, KS to Bill and Sophia (Arianas) Hubbard. Marcia was a lifetime resident of Junction City and worked with kids her entire life through various employment. She married Tony Briestensky in 1968 and later married Rex Field in1976.

Her son Brian was born in 1970 and later her daughter Trisha was born in 1972 and she devoted her entire life to her children. In 1989 her brother John and sister-in-law Nancy who she considered a sister had a son Josh, who was more than a nephew, he was like another son. In 2004 and 2005 she was blessed with two adoring grandchildren, Aidan and Reagan and from that time on she spent the rest of her life being a loving grandmother. She had a wonderful love for her family and they brought tremendous joy to her. She considered her family her greatest blessing and their love and support during her illness helped her fight valiantly and diligently.

She is survived by her son Brian and wife Rachael of Junction City, her daughter, Trisha and husband Brad Morris also of Junction City, her brother, John and wife Nancy Hubbard of Junction City, two grandchildren, Aidan Field and Reagan Morris, her nephew Josh Hubbard all of Junction City, her aunts, Georgia and husband Arthur Cohen of Junction City and Isabel Watson of Brookfield, MO many cherished cousins and her many lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a special grandmother Helen Lambros.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Meseke, Richard Ross, Jim Lundeen, Dennis Parker, Craig Paxton and Mike Carlyon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rex Field, Dana Wolf and Mike Ryan.

Musicians will be Vaudene Field, Jill Nelson and Charles Volland
