Marcia J. Nuzum

A private memorial service will take place for Marcia J. Nuzum, 65, of Grandview Plaza. Mrs. Nuzum passed away at her residence on March 25, 2008 after a long illness. Inurnment will take place in Vermont at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Geary Community Healthcare and Hospice, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS 66441 and/or Vicki Welsh Ovarian Cancer Foundation, 5830 NW Barry Rd, BMP Suite 270, Kansas City, MO 64154. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Mrs. Nuzum was born March 9, 1943 in Hartford, CT to Grover and Ruth (Seymour) Linsley. She was a trial clerk for District Court of Junction City and Manhattan, KS for over 32 years. Mrs. Nuzum was a member of the Geary County Sheriff's Posse, she married Jay Nuzum August 2, 1975 in Junction City, KS he survives of the home.

Survivors include her father, Grover Linsley of Atlanta, GA, one son; Scott Mitchell of Newbury Park, CA, three daughters; Pamela Church and Robin Mitchell both of Springfield, VT, and Tiffany Nuzum of Manhattan, KS, one brother; Edward Linsley, of Roswell, GA, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
