Services for Mae Williams, 89, Junction City, KS will be 1 p.m. , Friday, January 28, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel with Pastor Debra Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m.Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Mrs. Williams passed away January 23, 2005 at Geary Community Hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born March 13, 1915 in Silo, OK the daughter of Jeff and Alice (Thompson) Martin. She attended school in Silo, Ok and moved to Junction City in 1977 from Syracuse, NY. She married Preston Williams May 3, 1954 in Syracuse, NY. He preceded her in death January 1, 1960.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Second Missionary Baptist . She was a housekeeper
Mrs, Williams is survived by her daughter Alice Duffin, Junction, City, KS, sister: Bernice Williams; brothers and George Martin, Henry Martin and Johnny Martin;18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children; Curtis Maxwell, Lawrence Maxwell and Bretha Lee Pringle; sisters Viola Martin, Gstavie Cook, Leola Rolling, Artdel Corner and Lena May Martin. Her brothers; Groover Martin, Teddy Martin and Salvester Martin.
Pallbearers will be provided by VFW #8773 and House Of Refuge Church
