A funeral service for Mae Veora Bausch, 99, Junction City, Kansas will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at the Salem United Church of Christ near Steinauer, Nebraska. The Reverend Kathy Rahorst will officiate. A visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City.

Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Junction City, KS is assisting the family with Junction City arrangements and the Wherry Brothers Mortuary in Pawnee City, NE is assisting the family with Nebraska arrangements.
Mae was born August 14, 1910, on a farm in Burchard, NE near Pawnee County the daughter of John Charles and Sophia Louise (Wehrbein) Buman. She was the second of six children born to this union. Mae was baptized on October 16, 1910 by Reverend Herman Krueger at Salem's Evangelical Church near Steinauer, NE. Later she was confirmed in the German language at Salem's by Reverend Krueger.
She worked for 19 years at Sears Roebuck where she won numerous sales awards for her dedication to Sears and her many loyal customers. Mae was an active member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Junction City, KS.
She married Herman J. Bausch, March 28, 1937, in Steinhauer, NE, two children were born to this union. He passed away December 23, 1980.
Survivors include her one son, James (Jim) R. Bausch of Lane, KS and one daughter, Linda L. and husband Larry Brunner of Northhampton, PA. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Kelly Carroll and husband Shaun of Smithville, TX, Scott of Kansas City, Geoff Brunner and wife Alison of Allentown, PA, Alan Brunner and wife Jennifer of Warren, NJ and Michael Brunner and wife Andrea of Milltown, NJ,her seven great-grandchildren, Kevin Smith, Sarah Bausch, Chris Bausch, Kaleigh Brunner, Nolan Brunner, Quincy Brunner, Owen and Adele Brunner, niece, Sondra Adhrens and husband Merle of Titusville, FL, nephew John Buman and wife LaVonne of Grand Island, NE, sister-in-law Areva Hoffman of Johnson, NE and many nephews, nieces and other relatives. Mae had many friends and neighbors who have helped her so she could stay in her home as long as possible and who will miss her, Bettie Miller, Bill Martin, Shari and Jordi Hester, Kay Fields, Henrietta Withee and Reverend Glaser of Zion Church just to name a few.
