Madelene Louise Austin, 61, of Manhattan, KS, has gone home to be with The Lord on August 17, 2016. A Celebration of her Homegoing will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, located at 805 Caroline Ave. in Junction City, KS.
She was born on October 17, 1954, Los Angeles, CA, to Earl and Ruth (Jones) Johnson. She grew up in Richmond, CA. After high school, she went on to begin her civil service career which completed forty years on August 16, 2016.
She enjoyed traveling, her job as a Food Service Inspector, and spending time with her family.
Madelene is survived by her Father, Earl Johnson of Humble, TX; Mother, Ruth Johnson of Richmond, CA; Daughter, Jennifer Austin of Manhattan, KS; Sister, Dahynelia (Vincent) Hunley of Richmond, CA; Two Brothers, Reginald Johnson of Richmond, CA, Kevin (Scherilyn) Johnson of Humble, TX; Grandson, Keyshawn Russell of Manhattan, KS; Granddaughter, Kiara Ellis of Manhattan, KS; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Granddaughter, Tahlia Young.
