Mable Norman, 92, of Junction City, KS, transitioned to her heavenly home Friday, July 20, 2018.
Mable was born April 12, 1926 in Selma, Alabama. She was the daughter of Eugene and Clara (Richardson) Norris.
Mable attended schools in Alabama.
Prior to moving to Junction City, Kansas, 12 years ago, Mable worked as a Kitchen Supervisor at Birmingham Community Kitchens in Birmingham, Alabama. She was also an ordained minister with the Episcopalian church also of Birmingham, Alabama.
Mable was a world traveler. She was not only a domestic traveler all over the Unites States coastlines, east and west including Alaska, but was also all over Europe. She enjoyed fishing, playing card games, and doing crosswords to keep her mind sharp.
She touched many lives and will be missed.
Her survivors include a nephew, William Brown and his wife Cassandra, Junction City, KS; 2 nieces, Debra Stewart, Mobile, Alabama, and Jannie Ledger, Cleveland, Ohio; many grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins; and a host of loving family and friends. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank extended family members Patricia Brown and Alfred Johnson.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and 2 sisters.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Flinthills Church, 337 W. 7th Street, Junction City, KS 66441. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
Penwell-Gabel Junction City Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements.
