Lyle K. Loader

Funeral services for Lyle Knisely Loader, 82, of Junction City, KS will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Loader passed away at his home on December 25, 2006. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice at Geary Community Hospital, c/o Geary Community Health Care Foundation, P.O. Box 3015, Junction City, KS 66441.

Mr. Loader was born January 27, 1924 at Manchester, KS to Leslie R. and Alma N. (Knisely) Loader. He was a residential builder in Junction City for 13 years. He then worked for the facilities engineers at Fort Riley, KS retiring in 1989. After retiring he remodeled houses in Junction City until 1996. He was a resident of Junction City for over 50 years. He formerly attended the Methodist Church at Chapman and the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Abilene.

He attended grade school and high school in Chapman, KS. He married Lucille Marie Prost on May 8, 1943. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by two daughters, Janet Rowland of Nortonville, KS; Barbara Janssen of Salina, KS; one sister, Donna Anderson of Abilene, KS; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Carol Augustine, one son John Loader, two sisters, Doris Loader and Lila Loader, two brothers, Weldon Loader and Lynn Loader.

Pallbearers will be Chester Thacker, Justin Thacker, David Loader, Jami Rowland, Leo Anderson, Michael Loader and Clifford Anderson.
