Lucy Cadle, 72, Junction City, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at her home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at the First Southern Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Funeral Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Southern Baptist Church, 1220 W. 8th Street, Junction City, KS 66441.
Lucy was born October 18, 1940, in Laclede, Missouri the daughter of Jay K. and Minnie (McCune) Stark.
Lucy was the Director for the J.C. Family Home Association for many years. She previously worked for the Montgomery Wards Department Store and served as the Director of the Day Care at First Southern Baptist Church and worked as a Secretary for U.S.D. #475 at Lincoln and Fort Riley Elementary Schools. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she served on the Kansas and Nebraska Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Board. She also served on the Board for Birth Line in Junction City.
She married Jim Cadle on September 9, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Lela Sharp of Caldwell, KS and Janet Dozier of Junction City, KS. She is also survived by one brother, James T. Stark of North Kansas City, MO and three sisters, Mary Margaret Kirk of Eldon, MO; Evelyn Thomas of Gibbs, MO and Linda Stark of Trenton, IL. She is survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
