Funeral services for Lucette Jean Helene Peoples, 74, of Junction City will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel, 805 Caroline Avenue, with Reverend Audrey Toombs officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Riley Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2007, 6-8 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel. Mrs. Peoples passed away October 2 at Valley View Professional Care Center. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Klock Family and/or the Clasberry Family, in care of Penwell-Gabel Mass-Hinitt Chapel.
Mrs. Peoples was born October 20, 1932 at St. Laurent, France to Georges and Lucienne (Augis) Dele'tang. She worked for contract labor at Fort Riley, KS as a custodian supervisor until her retirement August of 1993. She was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church and had been a resident of Junction City most of her life. She married Orris M. Peoples February 28, 1962 at Orleon, France he preceded her in death December 27, 1980.
She is survived by three sons; Michel M. Dele'tang of France, Dan D. Peoples of Pensacola, FL and Jerry N Peoples of Junction City, KS, five daughters; Mireille O. Dele'Tang of France, Sarah B. Singletary of South Carolina, Patricia H. Morris of Topeka, KS, Annette E. Klock and Bernadette J. Clasberry both of Junction City, KS, six brothers; Cyriaque Dele'tang, Lucien Dele'tang, Marius Dele'tang, Roland Dele'tang, Colbert Dele'tang and Maurice Dele'tang all of France, three sisters; Georgette Jouint, Claudette Renauld and Colette Boulme all of France, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
