Memorial services for Louise Aurelia (Mass) Schoenbeck, 86, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Junction City, KS with Reverend Justin Panzer officiating. Inurnment of her cremains will be at Highland Cemetery in Junction City preceding the service. Mrs. Schoenbeck passed away in Junction City, KS at Geary Community Hospital on June 12, 2010. Memorials are suggested to be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour Ministries International.
She was born July 8, 1923 to Edward and Alwina (Benkula) Mass in eastern Geary County, Kansas on Clark's Creek Road. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Berry School and graduated from Junction City High School in 1940.
Louise married Edwin Schoenbeck on December 12, 1941. Following service in the U.S. Army, they made their home in Junction City. She was a homemaker and also worked with her husband for many years in his Real Estate business. She was a loving wife and mother. Husband Edwin passed away in 2006 after nearly 65 years of marriage.
She is survived by three children, James and wife Karen of Abilene, KS, Thomas and wife Mary of Prescott, AZ and Elouise and husband Clark Jahnke of Shawnee, KS; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Acker and brother, Everett Mass.
