Lorene M. Brott

Lorene M. Brott, 97, of Junction City, passed away on January 27, 2017 at Valley View Senior Life Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral home with the Reverend Dr. Dyton L. Owen officiating, A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or to an organization of donor's choice.

She was born on December 16, 1919, Junction City, Kansas to Hally and Georgia (Snow) Brott. She was a graduate of Junction City High School class of 1938. She worked for Duckwalls for 13 years and for 31 years as Manager of Central National Bank. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 80 years.

She was engaged to Dean Wilson for many years. He preceded her in death.

Lorene is survived by her two nephews, Gary Ervin and Tim Brott; three nieces, Sheila Marston, Patricia Bell, and Rhonda Cristobal; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Oscar Brott and Hally J. Brott; twin sister, Irene Ervin; two nieces, Rita Brott and Linda Ervin; a nephew, Donald Ervin; a great-nephew, Paul Ervin; and a great-niece, Darla Marston.
