Memorial services for Lois "Jean" Boltz, 80, of Milford, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the Milford Congregational Church in Milford with Pastor Stewart Smith officiating. No visitation is planned.
Jean went to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at her residence at Milford.
Jean was born July 14, 1928, in Foremosa, Kan., to William and Minnie Avis (Shotsman) Holmes. She married Vernon Boltz on Aug. 14, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. He survives of Valley View Care Center.
Jean was Milford city clerk during the construction of the Milford Dam. She was a member of the Junction City Nazarene Church and the Milford Congregational Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jeraldine Lloyd and Dewaine Bartrum; and an infant son, Terry.
She is also survived by her sister, Maxine Snyder of Superior, Neb.; two sons, Roger Boltz and wife Melody of Alma, Kan., and Michael Boltz and wife Faith of Manhattan; two daughters, Peggy Melton and husband Karl of Overland Park, Kan., and Pam and husband Ernest "Sandy" Popovich of Milford; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
