Linda L. Rush

JUNCTION CITY

Linda L. Rush, 78, of Junction City, Kansas passed on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family. 

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Ronnie Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery.

 Linda was born on November 26, 1946, Junction City, Kansas the daughter of Elmer and Luzena (Tidmore) Clark.

She was employed at Fort Riley and Geary Community Hospital as an accountant and bookkeeper for many years. 

Linda was very involved in the community. She helped with the local Harley Owner's Group (HOG) and volunteered with the Junction City Police Department, Junction City Fire Department and the Good Samaritan Care Facility before it closed. She loved the outdoors and riding a motorcycle. Linda spent a lot of time with her art work, gardening, photography, water skiing, sewing and quilting. She loved to travel and accompanied her husband Don on several trips to Africa. One of her fondest memories was bowling with her mother at the old Play-mor in Junction City. 

Linda will always be remembered for her compassion, being a great care giver, thoughtfulness of others, patience and great sense of humor, as long as it wasn't at her expense. Her famous quote was "Pretty good for an ole gal, good enough for who it's for".

On May 11, 1968, she married Donald M. Rush.

 Linda is survived by her loving husband Donald of Junction City, Kansas; two sons, Tim Rush and his wife Jenn of Augusta, Kansas and Jeff Rush and his wife Avery of Junction City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Bailey, Justin, Rylee and Sadie; two great granddaughters, Olsen and Amelia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
